Professional Visit Pass
A Professional Visit Pass (PVP) is issued to skilled foreigners holding acceptable qualifications or specialist skills required to provide services to a Malaysian company on behalf of the overseas company on a short term basis of up to 12 months.
Employment Pass
An employment pass is issued to foreigners who are engaged under an employment or secondment agreement with a Malaysian company to perform managerial or professional duties, or technical roles that require specific practical skills and experience for a minimum 2 year period.
Dependant Pass
Professional expatriates who have successfully secured an employment pass/Malaysian work permit may wish to apply for dependent passes to bring his/her spouse and children below the age of 21 into Malaysia.
Parents, parents-in-law, step children and unmarried spouses accompanying the expatriate are eligible for a long term Social Visit Pass (SVP) to stay in the country.
Long Term Social Visit Pass
Granted to children of expatriates below 18 years of age and who hold a dependent pass to study in schools in Malaysia without having to apply for a student pass.
